A group of pastors, spouses, and others are spending the next few days in Israel learning how to teach the Bible in contact. Led by Dr. Randy Smith, pastor of the Grace Brethren Church, Sebring, Fla., and sponsored by the Association of Grace Brethren Ministers, the group includes at least 17 members of AGBM.
The group gathered Wednesday evening at a hotel in Tel Aviv, after flying from various points around the U.S. Today, braving rain, wind, and chilly temperatures, they toured Caesarea Maritima, Mt. Carmel, Zippori, and Nazareth, along with other stops of historical and biblical difference that helped set the narrative of the writings of the New Testament before the backdrop of the Roman world.
Tomorrow, the group takes to the Sea of Galilee as they learn about the ministry of Jesus. Other scheduled stops are Capernaum, Mt. of Beatitudes, Chorazin, and Mt. Ariel.
