NEW TROY, MICHIGAN – Arthur Earl McCrum, 66, of New Troy, MI, went to be with his Lord on Friday, January 30, 2009, in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, February 4, in Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, with Pastor Mike Ostrander officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana, at 3:30 PM Wednesday. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 PM Tuesday in the funeral home.

Pastor McCrum was born March 15, 1942, in Mishawaka, Indiana, the son of the late Donald and Rose (Bennett) McCrum. On June 14, 1963, he married the former Alice M. Lasiter. He graduated from Grace College and received a Diploma of Theology from Grace Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana.
Art was a Grace Brethren pastor for 38 years, serving in South Pasadena, California, North English, Iowa, and most recently in New Troy, Michigan, for the past 20 years. He also played the banjo for the Gospel River Band.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Alice; two children, Ann (Gary) Richard of Warsaw, Indiana, and Alan (Michele) McCrum of Pierceton, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Timothy, Jo, Katie, Maria (Jeremiah), Chris, Aliesa, Cara and Rebecca; foster parents, Herman and Luella Hein; three brothers, Jerry (Jean) McCrum, Ron McCrum and Andrew McCrum; two sisters, June Gross and Betty Lou (Carl) Horvath; a foster brother, Ray Hein; and two foster sisters, Beverly (Jim) Welborn and Linda Clements.
Art was preceded in death by a sister, Dora Jean McCrum.
