Churches give thanks
While Thanksgiving is not a religious holiday, many churches will have services or other observances to give thanks to God or to celebrate the holiday together.
One of the longest running traditions is the “Thanksgiving Feast” in Bowling Green.
Two Bowling Green churches are again combining efforts for the 24th annual Thanksgiving Feast which will be held on Tuesday.
Grace Brethren Church and Christ’s Church in Bowling Green will hold the free community meal at the Community Center, 1235 W. Newton Road. Serving time will be from 3 to 7 p.m.
The menu is turkey and all the usual side dishes and trimmings.
