Free gun class offered for churches

The Rev. Kevin Pinkerton, lead pastor for Grace Community Church in Fremont, said his team has been proactive with the demand for safety, thanks to training help from Mason.
“We have taken that seriously. We have a security team (of 60) in place, and on a Sunday, we have 20 who all have badges,” Pinkerton said.
Grace is one of the largest churches in the area, with attendance of 1,800 people on a given Sunday. Pinkerton said the larger numbers means the church must pay more attention to details, including security.
