Dr. Augustin Hibaile, Grace Brethren leader in the Central African Republic, was honored last month at Movement Day in New York City. He was recognized for his faithful work in the CAR through the CIDEL ministry as an avid advocate for transforming cities in the name of Christ.
“It was a surprise to be chosen among the 3000 leaders as one of the 2016 Honorees,” said Dr. Hibaile. “I praise God for the recognition for what God is doing in me and through me in the areas of global leadership. Please pray that I will continue to serve with wisdom and courage.”
Movement Day was launched as an initiative of the New York Leadership Center to gather up ministry, marketplace, and non-profit leaders who are passionate about cities around the world and the Gospel of Jesus.
Since its initial start in 2010, over 11,000 ministry, church, business, seminary, university leaders have come to NYC to be challenged, inspired, and catalyzed in the advancement of gospel movement.
In this year’s gathering, 3000 influential leaders from 95 countries came to New York City to discuss issues regarding global cities including fatherlessness, education, poverty, and unemployment. The three days were filled with seminars, worship, and prayer. One of the participants of this conference was our very own Dr. Augustin Hibaile who had quite the experience. — from Encompass World Partners
