Dumont Cardichon, director of church planting among the Haitian Grace Brethren churches in Florida and associate pastor at Family Christian Community Center, a Grace Brethren congregation in Deerfield, Fla., has sent more information about the recent drowning of relatives of members of the Mispa Missionary Church in Miami, Fla. (Desir Nohomme and Luc Nonorme, pastors).
“A group of people was traveling from Gonaives to Bombardopolis to participate in a funeral. They took a boat for their transportation. Arriving in the middle of the sea, the boat shipwrecks. Many people died. Ten of the dead persons have relatives who are members of Mispa Missionary Church, one of the Haitian Grace Brethren churches in Miami.”
Cardichon noted that the Mispa church recently had the funeral for two members, when a third member died Sunday night.
The funeral for those who perished in Haiti is scheduled to be held at the Mispa Missionary Church on Saturday, May 7.
