A volunteer choir, joined by Grace College choir alumni, was one of the featured presentations in a BMH-sponsored hymnsing last night in the Grace Retirement Village chapel in Winona Lake, Indiana.
The hymnsing, one of the voluntary activities of the Equip05 national FGBC conference, drew an enthusiastic crowd who sang favorite hymns and gospel songs accompanied by Sharon White at piano and Ed Lewis at the organ. Miriam Uphouse Christiansen presented Susannah Wesley in costume, after which songs by John and Charles Wesley, her sons, were sung.
Special guest musician for the evening was Grace alumnus William Schaffer, who now lives in Florida and works for Rogers organ company, installing and demonstrating organs. He played several solos, gave a short talk, and accompanied the choir.
Tonight, Wednesday, at 7 p.m. Pastor Keith Shearer from Myerstown, PA Grace Brethren Church will present his moderator’s address as he begins his year’s tenure as moderator of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren churches. (Tim Ziebarth photos)
