During the business meeting of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches on July 27, 2017, the following were elected to serve on the Fellowship Council of the FGBC for 2017-2022.
Roger Holl is the pastor of Sterling Grace Brethren Church, Sterling, Alaska, and is an active long-time member of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. He is executive director of VisionAlaska, which is an FGBC cooperating ministry. Its vision is to plant FGBC churches in regions of Alaska.
Roger graduated from a Brethren college and later from law school. He served as an attorney for churches, Christian schools, and missionary organizations. He also taught at the University of Alaska and was a college dean. He obtained Doctor of Ministry and Ph.D. degrees from Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary.
Roger has a passion for reaching the unchurched with the Word of God in our changing world. He is married to Melissa Holl and has three adult sons. The Holls reside on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula of Alaska, where he has started a unit of the FGBC organization Skywatchers, to disciple dads and boys in the Alaska outdoors.
He is currently active in pastoring, church planting, and training others for church planting as well as church growth. He has provided legal counsel for churches and Christian mediation.
Roger represents Region A.
Dave Pacheco is a long-time member of the Fellowship, having grown up in the Winona Lake, Ind., Grace Brethren Church. He graduated from Grace College in 1995 and after an 8-year stint working in recruitment for Grace College, he returned to school and earned his Master’s Degree in Professional Communication from Purdue University in 2005. He spent three years working at Wheaton Academy in the west suburbs of Chicago and then in 2008, he moved to Delaware, Ohio, to be the Student Ministries Pastor at Delaware Grace. Over the past nine years, he has served in student ministries and adult ministries. On August 13, he was named to be the next lead pastor of the church, after serving as interim pastor for the past 13 months.
Dave and his wife of 15 years, Esther, have two boys: Alexander (10), and Elijah (8). Dave enjoys almost any type of sport, whether participating or spectating. He loves to teach, laugh, be with people, and encourage those people to take the next step in their journey to/with Jesus.
Dave represents Region B.
Timothy Clothier is married to his Grace College sweetheart, Carrie (Doutrich), and is the proud father of four children (Allegra, Adelaide, Toban, and Tucker). He has been a part of the FGBC since 2003 and is privileged to serve as the senior pastor of Waynesboro Grace since 2014.
Timothy holds a Bachelor degree in Youth Ministry from Grace College and a Masters Degree from Grace Theological Seminary. He was ordained while serving as the student ministries pastor at Community Grace of Warsaw (Ind.) and has led the licensure/ordination teams for both the Heartland and Mid-Atlantic Districts.
He is passionate about preaching the Bible, and leading people to love Jesus and purposefully live for him.
Timothy represents Region C.
The Fellowship Council is the board of directors of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, Inc. It is composed of 15 members elected from three regions of North America. Additionally, the executive director and assistant executive director serve on the council. All members serve one,five-yearr term. The Fellowship Council establishes policy that guides the planning and function of: a nominee for FGBC executive director; annual conference and Focus retreats; the FGBC national office; FGBC membership processes; and strategic initiatives as we move forward in the “Decade of Multiplication.”
