Here’s yesterday’s post from Barb Wooler, director of crisis response for Encompass World Partners, regarding the team that is headed to Ecuador to help with Earthquake relief.
The TEAM of 11 who depart on Saturday (May 21) to Ecuador’s earthquake zone is ending this day stronger than when it started. Why? Ironically, because of the two powerful aftershocks that occurred today in Ecuador.
While they could have been rattled by the news, in their conversation on WhatsApp, they encouraged each other.
One team member concluded, “I know that earthquakes are terrible, but we know that God uses this to soften and ready hearts; so we should be assured that we will see Him work greatly next week!”
PRAYER REQUEST
1) Pray that the 11 members of the team will continue to bond in these days before deployment – coming from 5 different countries, some of them have never met.
2) Pray that God will strengthen the hearts and resolve of each of the 11 team members and that their confidence will only grow in these three remaining days till deployment
