Several northern Indiana Grace Brethren churches are partnering with other local congregations this Fall to produce a Bible conference for pastors and church leaders in their region. Let’s Know the Bible will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014, at the Russell Center, 1003 Presidential Drive, Winona Lake, Ind. Sessions begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at Noon.
The conference is cosponsored by the Grace Brethren Church, Leesburg, Ind. (Tim Sprankle, pastor); Community of Hope Grace Brethren Church, Columbia City, Ind. (Jeremy Wyke, pastor); and New Horizon Community Church, Winona Lake, Ind. (Scott Barger, pastor), along with Charter Oak Church, Fellowship Bible Church, Oak Grove Community Church, Milford First Brethren Church, Pleasant View Bible Church, and Wawasee Community Bible Church.
Sprankle will be one of the speakers, talking about “God’s Past Story.” Also speaking will be Dr. Herb Bateman, former professor at Grace Theological Seminary and the founder of the Cyber-Center for Biblical Studies. He will address the topics of “God’s Big Picture: An Overview of God’s Developing Story in the Bible” and “God’s Current Story.” Aaron Peer, pastor of Charter Oak Church in Churubusco, Ind., will discuss “God’s Future Story.” Wyke will serve as moderator for the day.
Let’s Know the Bible is designed to provide Bible teaching of leading Christian thinkers and local pastors for church leaders, churchgoers, and others so that people might learn more about God and the Bible, and how to navigate everyday life more intentionally.
