My son, “Welcome to your life.” And yours it is. My ways, my forms, the things I have counted as constants are passing away. New things, your thing are coming on.
But know, my son, that we both are called to the same thing. That is the truth that is in Jesus. Be sure that when you tell the essence of things that you hold dear, that the ideas of Jesus, the cross, and redemption are at the center of it. When you speak, it doesn’t have to be in churches with red carpets, with pipe organs and pews, or in building with spires. Forms are secondary, but certain things, ancient things, never change.
As you place the old message through new grids, the truth must still shine and be evident. Sincerely pray for yourself and others. Be the minster God wants you to be.
Do the best you can in living an honest faith, guarding the precious things by God’s Holy Spirit. Keep the message ablaze in your heart; proclaim it with intensity, because it is God’s living message to a dying world.
My son, I love you so much. Commit your life and ministry to Him who is able to keep you from falling. May God always lead you and keep you.
