Opening night of Vision2020 South, the national conference of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, was filled with rejoicing for what hard has done, reconnecting with old friends, and a challenge to view the world through different eyes.
Three couples were commissioned for missionary service. Matt and Jen Daniels, Auburn, Calif., are headed to minister in Japan. Craig and Jackie Palmer, from Akron, Ohio, will be going to the Chad. Jason and Christy Carmean, Lexington, Ohio, will minister in the Cameroon.
The commissioning was part of a multi-cultural worship experience that featured Josh Davis, founder of Prokuneo, and his team leading the music and David Flynn, of M3Works, presenting a dramatic monologue on the life of missionary Adoniram Judson.
The conference kicked off with a reception and corporation meeting for Grace College and Seminary, Winona Lake, Ind.
