Service honors police officers in Lancaster County
WEST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, Lancaster County– People in Lancaster County came together on Sunday to say thank you to the men and women in uniform who keep them safe.
For the past 31-years, Grace Church at Willow Valley in West Lampeter Township, has held a service to honor police officers.
The service displayed a huge show of support for officers and all they do to keep the community safe.
Awards were given for Outstanding Officer, Outstanding Detective and Outstanding Act of Bravery.
One of the speakers at the event, State Senator Ryan Aument, (R) 36th District, said,”These are men and women who live in our community, who we see at the grocery store, we see them at places of recreation, who are involved in the community, so I think here we have a strong relationship and a strong, high regard for law enforcement.”
