The clear weather and magnificent mountain scenery provided one last treat for those who headed west as the Northwest Focus Retreat concluded. For those going either to Seattle or Portland to fly east, threading one’s way along Washington Route 12 south of Mount Rainier provided glimpses of Rainier (pictured) to the right, and Mt. St. Helens to the left. And, of course, for those flying from Portland, Mount Hood has a majesty all its own.
The cycle of Focus Retreats for the 2006-2007 is now concluded, but next year’s cycle will begin again in October with the incoming moderator of the FGBC, Pastor Jim Brown from Goshen, Indiana, directing the programming. Registration information for the fall retreats will be available on www.fgbc.org.
