Dear Charis Fellowship brothers and sisters across North America,
As we continue to monitor the results of Hurricane Ian in Florida, let’s commit to lifting up this situation in prayer. Our hearts break for our churches, our Charis family and friends, as well as all the people affected by the hurricane.
The Fellowship Office is monitoring the situation and we expect there will be many needs. The Encompass Crisis Response Team, led by Barb Wooler, is preparing to jump into action and we are partnering with them to help organize a response. Todd Derry, who is working with the Crisis Response Team, said they are currently connecting with each Charis church in the area to let them know they are available and ready to help. Churches are still assessing damage; once their needs are known, they will contact the Crisis Response Team who will share information with the Charis Fellowship. Relief efforts will be organized as soon as possible; those wanting to help should stand by for more information in the coming days and weeks.
We, as the Charis Fellowship, stand together with all the people of South and Central Florida and want to show the love of Jesus in this time of crisis. Stay tuned for more info to come.
