Some of the 1950 conference attendees at Long Beach, Calif.
The Fifth and Cherry Light reported the following information concerning the recent national conference in Long Beach, Calif.: total registration, 1,229; delegates (including alternates), 367; visitors registered, 832; pastors registered, 101; out-of-state registrations, 294; California registrations, 901; states represented, 18.
Forty Years Ago – 1970
During a special service in July, the cornerstone was laid for the new Grace Brethren Church building in the greater Atlanta, Ga., area. The building was to be complete by August 30.
Twenty Years Ago -1990
Seven missionaries to the new field of Portugal were commissioned at national conference. They include Ralph and Martha Schwartz, Tim and Julie Hawkins, Ken and Kim Burk, and Margaret Hull.
