GBIF Approves Loan for Sebring GBC
The Grace Brethren Investment Foundation (GBIF) has approved a $250,000 loan for the construction of a new worship facility for the Sebring Grace Brethren Church, 3626 Thunderbird Road, Sebring, Fla. (Randy Smith, pastor).
The new building will encompass 7,800 square feet of space and will be situated on more than four acres of land.
“GBIF is pleased to partner with this thriving congregation in Florida as we witness God continue to transform lives in the furtherance of His work,” said Ken Seyfert, executive director of operations for the Foundation, located in Winona Lake, Ind.

Grace Fellowship of Alta Loma, Calif., celebrated its 30th anniversary Sunday, November 18 by burning the mortgage on their building. Pastor Roy Halberg, along with the church elders, Kevin Fairchild, Dan Magnusen, and Carlos Lascaibar, led the church family in celebration. Former pastor, Neil Cole, was also present along with his wife, Dana, and their son Zach.
Grace Professors Co-Author Book
Brent Sandy (pictured) and Dan O’Hare, both professors in the Bible department at Grace College (Winona Lake, Ind.) have co-authored a book that was recently released by Baker Academic Publishers.
Prophecy and Apocalyptic: An Annotated Bibliography is one of 14 volumes in a series of bibliographies produced under the auspices of the Institute for Biblical Research.
Sandy and O’Hare’s carefully selected bibliography represents the best sources available for the study of prophecy and apocalyptic topics. As many as 200 articles and books appear each year, and they chose the 550 most helpful ever published.
Both Sandy and O’Hare are graduates of Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary. Sandy, also a graduate of Duke University, chairs the Religious Studies department. O’Hare is a doctoral student at the University of Notre Dame and teaches part-time at Grace College.
