For Grace Brethren High School senior Amanda Bierhorst, life as she knows it will be changing quite a bit after graduation.
Bierhorst contemplated life outside the small private Christian high school while speaking in front of her fellow classmates and several hundred family members and friends during the Class of 2011 graduation ceremony held Friday at Grace Brethren Church in Simi Valley.
“I don’t know about you guys, but I cannot for the life of me wrap my mind around it. We aren’t coming back next year. A lot of things are going to be different next year,” said Bierhorst, who was the class salutatorian.
Bierhorst reminded her classmates that as they continue with life not to forget their time together and what they shared at Grace Brethren as a class.
“At Grace Brethren, we were never alone. The teachers were not there just to give us assignments and grade them. Remember your friends. Remember the laughs we had. Remember the things you learned, because apparently in college they expect you to know stuff,” she said with a laugh.
