WINONA LAKE, IN – The Grace College athletic department raised over $2,500 for Hurricane relief in the Gulf Coast by hosting a basketball show from the Harlem Ambassadors Wednesday evening in Lancer Gym. The Ambassadors are the second-largest show basketball team in the world, carrying their product to 39 states and 19 foreign countries.
The Ambassadors played against a team of “local legends” comprised of former Mr. Basketballs, Indiana All-Stars and collegiate All-Americans from the Kosciusko County area. Ramada Plaza Hotel, Bennigan’s, Golden Corral and Reneker’s Sports Shop were important corporate partners for the event.
All the proceeds will be directed toward two Grace College relief efforts — covering the cost of a group of employees that traveled to the Gulf Region earlier in September as well as another group of 25 students who will be traveling to the Region during fall break.
