A graveside service for Betty D. Masimer, 91, of Johnstown, Ohio, was held Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Harrisburg, PA, with Lloyd Markley officiating.
Betty was long-time missionary for the Navajo Indians in New Mexico, serving with the Grace Brethren Navajo Mission in Counselor.
Betty died March 6, 2013 at Arlington Care Center, Newark. She was born September 28, 1921, in Gettysburg, Pa., to the late William and Georgia (Meyers) Day.
Betty was a member of Palmyra Grace Church, recently attended Christian Bible Fellowship in Johnstown, Ohio, and was a beautician in Palmyra, Pa. She was a 1940 graduate of Hershey High School.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James “Pat” and Janet Masimer of Johnstown, Paul “Mike” and Debbie Masimer of Kerns, Utah, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Masimer, who died in 1952; brother, John Day; sisters, Reba Soule and Marie Shearer.
