The new book by former executive director of the Brethren Missionary Herald Co., Terry White, is now available. Winona at 100: Third Wave Rising details the history of Winona Lake, Ind., the small midwestern resort town that has given birth to a number of Christian organizations. It is also home to the headquarters of a number of Grace Brethren organizations.
The new book is just in time to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the community, which was incorporated on June 2, 1913.
Steve Grill, dean of the School of Adult and Community Education at Grace College, a founding member of The Winona Lake Historical Society, and the only director of the Reneker Museum of Winona History, is also a contributor to the book.
Winona at 100: Third Wave Rising is available this weekend at the Winona Lake Art Festival. It may also be purchased at Tree of Life Bookstore, the Winona Mercantile (at the Boathouse), the Kosciusko Vistors Bureau, and Alumni Services at Grace College. It is also available online at bmhbooks.com and amazon.com. List price for the book is $19.99
