Grace College’s men’s and women’s soccer teams are headed South for national tournament play. Women’s Soccer has reached the final site of the NAIA National Championships, and Men’s Soccer has qualified for the NCCAA National Championships.

Tournament Preview: The Lady Lancers are in the midst of their first NAIA tournament appearance in program history under coach Michael Voss. After winning the Opening Round in a snowstorm against Park (game recap), Grace advances to the final site in Orange Beach, Ala., in the single-elimination bracket. The Lady Lancers will play five-time NAIA champion Westmont (Calif.) in the Second Round and face a potential matchup with defending champ and No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson in the quarterfinals.

Tournament Preview: The Lancers are enjoying a memorable 50th season in team history. Grace reached the Crossroads League Tournament championship and won the NCCAA regional title in a snowstorm over Roberts Wesleyan (game recap). Grace is making its third trip in five years to NCCAA Nationals under head coach Matt Hotchkin. Grace’s 14 wins are the most in program history since 1983. Grace is in “Pool C” with Belhaven and Chowan. The winner of the three pools, along with the top runner-up, will advance to the national semifinals.
