After an hour’s bus ride from the hotel in Marburg, Germany, the Brethren Heritage Tour’s first stop in the little village of Schwarzenau was at the Alexander Mack Museum, high atop the hill above the river in a section called “village of the huts” where Mack and the poorer people of the village lived.
Alexander Mack was there to greet the group in person, and gave an insightful lecture to begin the day’s activities. Preserved in the museum are a number of artifacts from Mack and the early Brethren.
