The Grace Brethren Investment Foundation (GBIF), Winona Lake, Ind., has announced that another congregation in the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches has decided to transfer their entire financing package from other lenders to the GBIF. In fact, when the Auburn Grace Community Church, a Grace Brethren church in Auburn, Calif., wants to finance another expansion, they plan to look to the GBIF.
Grace Community Church is a vibrant and growing congregation in northern California with a 13-acre campus that consists of a worship center, classrooms, and office space.
“Between 2004 and today we have doubled in size and budget,” Senior Pastor Phil Sparling shares. “We have gone from one service, to two, to now three on Sunday morning. We have eight staff members: four full-time, four part-time. When the three services fill to capacity, we will need to do a major renovation to our sanctuary to seat more people and return to fewer, but larger services. We will be asking GBIF to help with that renovation project. It has been an exciting journey for the past twenty years here at Auburn Grace. We love our community. We love Grace Brethren.”
“The GBIF ministry is quite encouraged with the recent transfers to us of strong financing packages from FGBC churches, says Ken Seyfert, executive director of Operations for GBIF. “We are on track in 2010 for another tremendous year of operating results, with near zero delinquencies and no foreclosure issues. To
God be the glory! Without the continued loyalty of our churches, these results would not happen. We are humbled by the trust they have placed in our team and we are deeply grateful.”
