Caroline Saldivar, daughter of Michael and Margaret Saldivar (he’s pastor at Grace Brethren Church, Pataskala, Ohio), is competing this week in Mount Vernon, Ohio, as part of the Ohio Distinguished Young Women program. She is representing Southern Licking County in the competition and is a student at Watkins Memorial High School. (Learn more about her here.)

Distinguished Young Women of Ohio is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership, and talent in young women. The program in the Buckeye State is a preliminary to the Distinguished Young Women national finals held in Mobile, Ala.
