The Grace Brethren Church of Norwalk is excited to partner with the Urban Hope Los Angeles program. The church commissioned Tim and Janine for the new ministry as they start working on gaining financial support for the start up this fall.
For 20 years CE National has been training believers how to reach neglected people through the ministry of Urban Hope in Philadelphia. Now CE National will also provide inner-city training on the west coast through the new Urban Hope in Los Angeles.
Urban Hope Los Angeles will be held at the Grace Brethren Church of Norwalk as a hub of ministry training. Beginning in the fall Urban Hope will see groups come to Los Angeles to learn how to live ON MISSION. The groups will go to Boyle Heights, Skid Row, and other locations where they can connect with people who are often overlooked and yet need Jesus.
The goal is to give people a heart for the lost and provide training in how to connect the lost with the Lord. The Norwalk church is in the heart of Los Angeles, is located next to major freeways, and is central to many places.
Tim Lansing will lead Urban Hope Los Angeles. Tim graduated from Azusa Pacific University, has worked as a loan officer, is currently the director of student ministries at the Grace Brethren Church of Norwalk, and he greatly loves the Lord. Tim has been a CE National board member and is on the elder board of the Norwalk church. CE National is excited to announce that he is beginning to work on raising support in order to begin working in the fall.
