The Central Focus Retreat, a time for Grace Brethren pastors to refresh and focus on God’s promises and opportunities, began this afternoon (October 13) at Mohican State Park Lodge near Loudonville, Ohio. Above, John MacIntosh, moderator of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches and pastor of the Grace Brethren Church in Simi Valley, Calif., leads the opening session. During the pre-dinner session, the group looked at 2 Timothy 1.
Following dinner, Dave Guiles, executive director of Grace Brethren International Missions, interviewed Dr. Francois Ngoumape, director of leadership training for the Grace Brethren Union of Churches in the Central African Republic (CAR). Dr. Ngoumape shared how God protected him during a violent attack by bandits last November. He is in the U.S. for the next ten weeks to promote the development of the James Gribble Leadership Development Center in the CAR. (Click here to learn his schedule.)
The pastors concluded the evening with an active gave of “Scream-O.” Tomorrow they will continue to look at 2 Timothy and will enjoy afternoon and evening “hangout time together.”
The retreat concludes Wednesday morning.
