Churches in the Charis Fellowship are joining to help the Happy Church (Michael Tabor, pastor) in Jackson, Ky., after recent flooding in the area.
Below is a video from Monday that shows the extent of the damage. At that time, the water was still rising.
If you or your church is interested in helping by sending or joining a team, contact Jonathan Nasby, Encompass’ Disaster Response Coordinator or Barb Wooler, Encompass’ Director of Crisis Response.
To financially support clean-up efforts:
– IF your church is sending a team, give to them
– OR you can also give through Encompass at: https://give.encompassworldpartners.org/project/storm
Currently, these are the churches that are sending teams to help:
- Community of Hope, Columbia City, Ind.
- East Side Grace Brethren Church, Blacklick, Ohio (They are sending an assessment team tomorrow that will drop off the tool trailer.)
- Grace Fellowship, Pickerington, Ohio (sending team and relief supplies on Monday)
- Maranatha Grace Church, Hagerstown, Md.
GraceConnect will continue to follow this situation and provide updates when available.
