Many of Caribbean Vision Ministries friends have contacted us regarding the people we minister to in the Caribbean and the United States.
We are pleased to report that House of Hope Orphanage, Grace Theological Institute, and all the churches we minister with in Haiti weathered tropical storm Isaac OK. Everyone experienced a lot of wind and rain but no one experienced any severe damage or personal injuries. For that we praise the Lord!
Trinidad, as usual, escaped any real brush with Hurricane Isaac since they lie just outside the normal tropical storm and hurricane zone.
Pastor Elysee Joseph reports that the folks at Eglise Evangelique de la Paix in Ft. Lauderdale escaped any serious problems though everyone had plenty of wind and rain. We trust that is true for the rest of the Haitian community in Ft. Lauderdale as well.
As you probably know by now Isaac has created problems, death and destruction for a lot of people from the islands in the Caribbean all the way to New Orleans AND he isn’t through yet. Praise pray for safety and God’s help for the people in Isaac’s path for the next few days. We know they need it and will appreciate your prayers. And pray for those in the Caribbean who will be dealing with the aftermath of Isaac for a long time.
Once again we praise God for His Grace, safety and your prayers over the last week for the Caribbean people during this trying time.
For God’s Kingdom,
Dr. Chuck Davis
