The Calvary Grace Brethren Church of Kettering, Ohio (Mark Combs, pastor) will mark the 50th anniversary in their building on September 29, 2013. A special celebration will be held at their building at 2850 East Dorothy Lane at 5:00 p.m. followed by a catered dinner.
“We will reflect a bit on those that have served before us, but mainly celebrate God’s continued faithfulness,” says Pastor Mark Combs. “We will have as our guests Pastor Lester Pifer and Pastor David Bogue. Pastor Pifer was the director of Brethren Home Missions for many years and he took part in the dedication of the building in 1963. Pastor Bogue is the founder of Finish Line Ministries and a former Grace Brethren pastor. He attended Calvary as a child and it was there that he trusted Jesus as his Savior.”
The church started in 1957. Construction began on the building with ground-breaking in 1961. The building was completed and dedicated in 1963.
Everyone is welcome. There is no charge to attend, but reservations are requested for the meal at 937-293-5822 or calvaryofkettering.org.
The church is located at 2850 East Dorothy Lane in Kettering, a suburb of Dayton, Ohio.
