Printable, downloadable pdf files of 2006 Grants and Guidelines Prospectus for church planting are now available from Grace Brethren North American Missions (GBNAM).
The board of directors of GBNAM recently announced the creation of a new “Church Planting Matching Grant Program” for the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. The program is designed to encourage the recruitment of church planters, the creation of ministry apprenticeships, the launching and establishing of new churches and the further development of ethnic church planting in North America.
Dr. Tim Boal, Executive Director of GBNAM (pictured), said, “I am pleased to announce we already have $250,000 in hand and we are ready and able to disburse these funds in calendar year 2006 to eligible persons. I am hopeful these funds will spur other matching donations for the Grace Brethren church-planting cause in North America.”
Some of the grants address new church starts, some the training and recruitment of leaders and still others the establishment of multiplication efforts. The grants will provide church-planting capital in the following areas: Developmental Grants, Launching Grants, Establishing Grants, Resource Center Grants, Apprenticeship Grants, Samaritan Grants and Publishing Grants.
All applicants must be firmly committed to the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, agree with its Statement of Faith, and be intimately connected to the FGBC via its associations and partnerships.
