Margins|2016, the national conference of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, kicked off today as more than 200 conference participants watched the Seattle Mariners defeat the hometown Toronto Blue Jays, 2-1.
Decked out in blue t-shirts with the conference logo on the front, and the name of sponsor, Grace College and Seminary, on the back, the group trekked the six blocks or so to the Rogers Centre from the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, where the conference is being held.
The conference sets into full swing tomorrow, July 23, with a 6:30 a.m. prayer meeting, then a 7:30 breakfast sponsored by CE National. The morning celebration will feature Caeser Kalinowski, followed by workshops in various locations around the hotel. Lunch is sponsored by Encompass World Partners, with dinner hosted by Grace College and Seminary. Grace Brethren pastor and church planter Neil Cole is the speaker at the evening celebration.
The conference continues through July 25. Follow all the action on social media using the hashtag #margins2016 or #graceconnectsus.
