Waynesboro church welcomes worship arts director
Grace Brethren Church in Waynesboro welcomed their new worship arts director during its Sunday morning service.
Damien Wagaman, a Waynesboro native, graduated from the Waynesboro Area Senior High School in 2001. Wagaman went on to pursue his bachelor’s degree in general music at Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, graduating in 2005.
Around the same time, Wagaman picked up and moved to Annapolis, Md., to pursue a teaching career in one of the local schools.
“I taught in Prince Georges County, Md. for eight years,” said Wagaman.
In 2016, Wagaman received his masters of education degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. In early January of 2017, Wagaman and his wife Jennifer decided it was time to move back to Waynesboro, for him to pursue a teaching position.
Once settled back in Waynesboro, the Wagaman family started looking for a home church and attended Grace Brethren Church. “We felt like part of the church family very quickly,” said Wagaman.
