For the second time this season, Grace College’s Vironnica Drake was tabbed as the NCCAA National Player of the Week.
Drake had a pair of strong performances last week against ranked teams for Grace’s women’s basketball team.
Her statline of 26 points, 5 rebounds, 6 steals and 2 assists led the Lady Lancers to an 88-73 upset of No. 21 Huntington. She also produced 18 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals on the road against No. 15 Taylor.
Drake currently leads Grace with 18.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game. The senior ranks No. 15 in NAIA Div. II in scoring.
