The most recently newsletter from the military chaplain endorsing agent for the Charis Fellowship, Mark Penfold (Chaplain (Col., U.S. Army, retired) is in the mail. Here are some highlights:
Army Chaplain Pete Stone will be promoted to major on April 13. Pete and Monica serve at Fort Belvoir, VA. BTW … the Stone family is growing as Monica and Pete are expecting their second child in late summer.
Air Force Chaplain George Youstra is currently working two assignments: chaplain to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington, D.C. and he is also started in his next assignment as the Special Operations Command chaplain in Tampa, Fla. Pray for him and Rose as they serve so faithfully in two very demanding positions.
Army Chaplain Cameron Michael was promoted to Captain in January. As is the tradition, one’s spouse or a family member gets to pin on the new rank. Kerrie had the pleasure of “pinning” Cameron (it’s really Velcro now). Cameron and Kerrie also attended the unit’s annual military ball. Pray for them as Kerrie is expecting their second child very soon.
