Through the magic of Skype and the Internet, Pastor Chip Heim of East Side Grace Brethren Church in Columbus, Ohio, and nine other men from the congregation this past Sunday shared what God had been doing in their lives that week in the Ukraine.
They did so on the large projection screen at the front of the church’s worship room, so everyone could see them. Their voices were transmitted through the church loudspeakers, so everyone could hear them.
East Side member Pat Phillips reports, “East Side uses Skype to bring missionaries and mission events right into the morning worship service. The cost – FREE! To see people from the church live on a missions trip, and to hear prayers for them live is just a tremendous way for the local church to utilize technology.
“For more information contact Chip at East Side GBC. Chip and the men from the church (Bob Sidwell, Rich Bowers, John Dodgion, Steve Hatton, Shawn Fox, Chris Ingram, Roger Music, Bobby Strother, Jim Van Dyne) are completing the interior of a church building that will be used by students and faculty of Zaporozhye Bible College in Zaporozhye, Ukraine. Pray for them as there is a lot of work to do.”
