A fire at the end of the morning service yesterday at First Grace Brethren Church, a Charis Fellowship congregation in Dayton, Ohio (Bruce Jackson, pastor), caused a few moments of excitement at the end of the service and apparently caused minor damage to the church. Church fire forces Montgomery County GOP to change location of Sheriff Streck’s formal appointment
BUTLER TWP. — A fire in the sanctuary of a church forced the Montgomery County Republican Party to change its meeting location to formally appoint Sheriff Rob Streck.
Emergency crews responded to the fire at the First Grace Brethren Church, located at 2624 Stonequarry Rd., in Butler Township on Sunday at noon. …
The cause of the fire was electrical and started in the sanctuary, the pastor of the church said.
No one was hurt but a pew was damaged, he said.
