This New Year’s Eve comes a stark reminder to pray for the people of the Central African Republic. Barb Wooler, director of Project Hope and Charity, the orphan care ministry sponsored by Encompass World Partners, posted these photos on Facebook, which are shared here with her permission. She reports that about 50 people have take refuge in the Encompass mission compound in Bangui.
“Pray for the Augustin Hibaile family, who are helping them get settled in,” she writes. “Thank the Lord and PHC sponsors for the gift of this food, which is leftover from the PHC Christmas Gift Caper. The guards (blue tops) and Marie-Helene Hibaile assembled the food bags (rice, sardines, salt, sugar, coffee/tea). Second picture is a happy “customer.” Pray that these dear folks can soon feel safe enough to return to their homes.”
