YIB (Your Intrepid Blogger) is currently in Colorado Springs, Colorado, along with several hundred of his favorite journalists enjoying the 2007 convention of the Evangelical Press Association (EPA).
FGBC World editor Liz Cutler Gates (third from right in photo) last evening led an affinity discussion group of denominational editors in which the editors of a number of evangelical denominational publications shared information about changes, innovations, problems, and solutions.
Attending EPA this year from the FGBC are BMH publisher Terry White, FGBC World editor Liz Cutler Gates, and Women of Grace USA communications director Viki Rife.
The convention began Wednesday evening with a gala reception and dinner where the speaker was legendary author Richard Foster. Workshops, exhibits and other activities take place throughout the day Thursday and Friday. The speaker for today’s luncheon is Elisa Morgan, the CEO of MOPS, and tomorrow evening’s banquet speaker is Rod Dreher, a writer and editor from The Dallas Morning News.
EPA is comprised of the publishers, editors, writers and staff members of approximately 400 evangelical periodicals, with a combined circulation of more than 20 million readers.
