In this issue, Ted Rondeau tells how more than 30 years ago God brought him to his knees in a lonely jail cell.
“Whoever you are,” he says he told God. “I don’t want to go out like this. I need change.”
That moment began a life-long spiritual journey, one that you, too, can experience.
The Bible teaches that man is sinful and unable to have a relationship with God-that relationship has been disrupted and fractured by man’s sinful nature.
But the good news is that God sent the gift of His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross. As a result, forgiveness and salvation are available to all who seek it. The dirt and filth of our past is cleansed (Isaiah 1:18) and we are a new creation.
Have you confessed your sin and asked God to cleanse your life? You can do it now, using words like these:
God, I’m sinful and separated from You. I’m sorry for my sin-I repent, and wish to turn my life around. I recognize that salvation comes only through Your Son, Jesus Christ, and today I accept Him and commit to following Him forever. Please receive me as Your child.
God’s promise is secure-all who come to Him this way will be gladly received. You will be born again. You will have new life-eternal life.
