From Pastor Dan Thornton, Maranatha Brethren Church, Hagerstown, Md.:
Fight Club has made its way to Hagerstown, Maryland. At a midnight meeting [on January 8], 20 men were challenged to be strong and brave to fight sin wherever it attacks, in our own hearts, in our homes, in our church, in our world. Hosted by the Maranatha Brethren Church, men from several different churches came to the kick-off event. Jason Feight in primary leader.
Now those men will decide whether to commit to an intense 12-week challenge of personal growth and development. This does not fit everyone, and it doesn’t fit every time in a man’s life, but all who are able and willing to commit will experience significant spiritual growth.
Begun by Pastor Jim Brown of the Goshen, Ind., Grace Community Church, there are now Fight Club chapters popping up across the country.
