The preliminary deadline to apply for Operation Barnabas, CE National’s 22-day summer ministry trip for 10th through 12th graders, is fast approaching. Students who apply by November 16, 2016, will have the best opportunity for OB team preparation and support raising.
Applications for the program will continue to be accepted into 2017, as long as space is available, but special preference is given to early applicants and preliminary applicants will find out their acceptance status prior to Christmas.
Operation Barnabas is for high-school students who want to: experience God in a fresh way and grow in their walk with Christ, develop Godly character, learn how to share Jesus with others, build relationships through discipleship, meet needs through ministry in cities, churches, and to the overlooked, and take valuable, practical training back home!
Operation Barnabas 2017 begins June 18 with orientation in Winona Lake, Indiana.
On tour, students will be trained in a variety of areas and be able to immediately put that learning into practice as they serve area communities and share the good news of Jesus! Tour will end July 11 so that if students wish to attend Momentum Youth Conference, which begins July 18, they will be able to go home and travel there with their youth groups.
The support money total for 2017 is $2,200 and guidance will be given to students on how to raise funds, along with sample support letters, and scholarship opportunities.
