by Bob Fetterhoff, Senior Pastor, Wooster, Ohio, Grace
It’s my privilege to serve as the moderator of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches (FGBC) and as the host pastor of this year’s Vision 2020 Leadership Conference, the national conference for our fellowship of churches. I’m convinced a new day is dawning for the FGBC!
Many churches are reaching their communities with the love of Christ in creative ways. Others have attempted to meet the desperate needs of the under-resourced in the spirit of Micah 6:8. Some have launched new congregations, creative services, or leadership training efforts. Many leaders want to position our churches to reach the next generation with the changeless message of the Gospel of Christ. All this is very good news!
At the Vision 2020 Leadership Conference, you’ll be able to network with others to discover what God is doing. Hopefully you’ll have the opportunity to learn and hear what’s happening. I promise you’ll be inspired and encouraged by some great preaching and worship!
You will be challenged with what God might do in your own church. Your eyes will be lifted to the needs of a lost world without Christ. You’ll learn practical strategies for penetrating your community with God’s love.
You’ll also be invited to share what God is doing in these areas through your local church. I look forward to seeing you so we can “spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Heb. 10:24 NIV).
If you’re able to join us for a few days, you’re in for a special treat! You’ll hear from great teachers of the Word of God, learn practical insights about ministry in the local church, and seek a fresh vision from God in prayer with others who love Him.
Most of all, you’ll get a glimpse of what God is doing in our churches around the world. I really believe we’re on the brink of a new day in the FGBC–a day that can launch us to new heights of reaching this world for Christ. I look forward to seeing you!
