A recent story in the Goshen, Ind., News, announced the 2017 class being inducted into the Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame. County sports Hall of Fame adds new class
There are now exactly 500 members of the Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame.
Sixteen were added Saturday night during the 21st banquet and induction ceremonies at The Matterhorn on the north side of Elkhart.
Congratulations to the following who were inducted into the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2017:
* Kyle Johnson (Jimtown 2004) played for the 2A state basketball champions as a senior and also received the Trester Award for mental attitude. Johnson went on to play basketball at Grace College. He also has the distinction of being the Hall of Fame’s 500th inductee, being last on Saturday’s program.
