Fremont contributes to gift-giving operation
FREMONT – The city is participating in a worldwide gift-giving operation that, in the past 20 years, has collected more than 100 million gifts for children in need.
Residents are encouraged to head to Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Road, and drop off shoeboxes filled with gifts. Sara Facer, a coordinator for Operation Christmas Child, said the boxes will be delivered to children all around the world.
“They provide help anywhere where there’s disaster or famine or any sort of difficulty,” Facer said.
