A Go-Fund-Me page has been set up to help the Happy Church, a Charis Fellowship ministry in Jackson, Ky., raise funds for emergency repairs that need to be made to a truck that was purchased to distribute food items in their area. Below is the story and a link to the page.
The Happy Church is a kids first ministry located in the heart of eastern Kentucky. We recently obtained a 2006 Ford LCF refrigerated box that was purchased to be able to transport fresh produce and other goods from the Cincinnati area to our community.
The truck broke down, and the initial repairs were $7622.20. That was for a new turbo and diesel particulate filters. Well, they discovered another problem that is probably what caused those parts to fail. The high-pressure oil system was compromised.
It is still at Diesel Injection Services, Co. in West Chester, Ohio as of this writing and that bill is expected to be around $1900.
We are a mission church (meaning we function as a ministry because God moves people to support us)
