Word has been received of the death of Glenn Moore, former Grace Brethren pastor and grandfather of Jonathan Carey, pastor of the Ellet Grace Brethren Church in Akron, Ohio. Among the places where he pastored Grace Brethren congregations were Camden, Ohio, and Alto, Mich. His obituary appears below.
Glenn Elmer Moore, 92, formerly of Allentown, Pa. and Akron, Ohio, died Saturday, November 8, 2014, at LVH-CC, Salisbury Twp., Pa.
He is the husband of the late Beatrice M. (King) Moore. He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 20, 1922, to the late George D. and Liella (Thronton) Moore. Glenn was an ordained pastor of Grace Brethren churches, and a former pastor of an independent church in North Carolina. He served our country honorably during The World War II in the U.S. Army, Technical Sergeant Co. 394th Infantry, 99th Division and a recipient of the Purple Heart and 4 Bronze Stars. He is a member of Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church, Bethlehem; Chaplain at Atria, Past Commander of Disable American Veterans in New Mexico, Chief of Staff DAV in New Mexico.
