So far this year, God is giving to us 141 new church starts and new churches along with some established churches engaging GSE ideas in their harvest work! With 5 weeks to go in the year, is God going to give us the most He has ever given us (150 in one year)? I do not know. The other consideration is these are only the ones of which I am aware. Pray He gives us more before the year ends!
Other new starts:
*Savanah, GA: I coach Jack, who lives in Atlanta area. He is a chaplain for the Georgia State Defense Force. His Chaplain work took him to Savanah. While there, he was led to talk to a civilian working on the Air base. It was a divine appointment. We are praying for a new church to begin meeting in January in Savanah through this dear lady Jack met. She is planning to gather a number of people into a room so Jack can begin shepherding this new church. Ask God to richly bless this new beginning.
Just imagine how many of these types of conversation we have every day!?
Perhaps one of yours can lead to a new church starting? I know they can, and they do, yours can too!
*Winchester, Va: Lee is part of the group meeting on Monday nights in a multiethnic gathering that is moving down this GSE pathway. To hear Lee describe the gathering and what God is doing is powerful. Ask God to continue to lead this group further down the church formation pathway. Exciting days!
*Tijuana, Mexico: Jon and Mindy work on the boarder of Mexico from San Diego. Jon and Reuben are teaching a Monday night church planting class in Tijuana. There are two in the class who want to move beyond classroom to field expression! Pray for new churches in TJ! Pray as well as for Jon as he battles some physical illness matters that Drs are having trouble diagnosing and thus treating. He has been sick for weeks.
*Lenore: A few weeks ago, I sent out an urgent prayer request from Bud, whose wife, Lenore, was battling cancer. God did answer and His answer was to take her home to Himself. Lenore is in the presence of Jesus! Bud and his family are still here – please pray for them as they move to the other side of Lenore’s passing.
*2020 possibilities: God is opening even more doors as I am writing this. Please pray for these doors God is opening for our network in the USA in particular. There are a number of them, but I ask for prayer on these things to see them advance.
