Worthington Christian Roundup: Godsey enjoys final prep season
Kara Godsey has proven time and again that she’s not afraid to try new things.
The senior was a member of Worthington Christian High School’s inaugural girls golf and girls bowling programs, both of which began her junior year.
Then, after she suffered a season-ending injury early last spring for the softball team, she transitioned into a scout as well as a representative of the program at the district seeding meeting.
Godsey, a Reynoldsburg resident who has attended Worthington Christian since seventh grade, would like nothing more than to add one final big prep moment this spring as the Warriors’ shortstop. …
Godsey, who played basketball during her freshman and sophomore seasons before electing to bowl the last two winter seasons, is interested in studying math when she begins attending Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, in the fall.
She will compete for the women’s golf team at Grace College, but admits that she’s “obsessed with batting average and all those kinds of stats” and plays in a fantasy baseball league.
