Revive Indiana seeks to unite Christians
GOSHEN — Christians from all walks of the faith are coming together this week to launch a spiritual revival in Elkhart and LaGrange counties.
This is no typical revival, though.
The goal: To unite all denominations, to come together in prayer and to share the love and words of Christ throughout communities in both counties.
And it’s not just this week. Teams will return for one week each month through June, culminating in Christians from all over the United States converging to introduce people to Jesus.
Spearheading Revive Indiana is Middlebury native-turned Texan Kyle Martin.
Martin started his Time to Revive ministry in 2007 in Dallas. He’s hoping to see God move the communities he grew up in. “I expect the body of Christ will continue to be unified whether they are Methodist of Baptist, Amish or English. … Unity is the goal.” …People meet each morning at Grace Community Church in Goshen to pray, team up and receive assignments. Those teams then go out into the communities designated for that day. Later, they meet for lunch at a different church each day, then meet back at Maple City Chapel in Goshen for supper at 5:30 p.m. and prayer and worship at 7 p.m.
The public is invited to supper and to evening prayer and worship through Sunday’s closing events.
